Skyway to Tomorrowland- Matterhorn View

This is a view from the Skyway at Disneyland, as it's about to go into the Matterhorn. I'm not sure when this picture is from.

Bear Country- 1987

This is a view of the entrance to Bear Country, before Critter Country, before Splash, & definately before that pile of Pooh sitting there right now!

If You Had Wings- Loading Area

If You Had Wings once recided where Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is now, in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom in WDW. It was sponsored by Eastern Airlines. The attraction itself took a look at the various destinations made possible by Eastern.

The Lunching Pad- 1989

This is from the old Lunching Pad that use to sit under the PeopleMover & the Rocket Jets. In 1998, it became a Radio Disney Broadcasting center, as part of the new New Tomorrowland project. It seems to rather deserted right now.

Motor Boat Cruise to Gummi Glen- 1991

The Motor Boat Cruise opened in 1957. In 1991, as part of the Disney's Afternoon Avenue promotion, it was transformed into the Motor Boat Cruise to Gummi Glen (as seen in the picture). It was restored to it's original glory in 1992, only to be closed forever, a year later.

Mission to Mars- 1984

Welcome, this new blog of mine will feature a different photo from the Magic Kingdoms of Disneyland, or Walt Disney World... through time, every other day. Today's photo is from Mission to Mars, in it's original paint scheme, & when it was sponsered by McDonnel-Douglas.
